Rustic Camping Wedding // Tammy & Nick

When I photograph weddings, I enjoy looking for all the details, big and small, that make a unique statement for the couple.  Couples have the opportunity to make their weddings reflect who they are in various ways, and some people embrace this more than others.  Tammy and Nick owned their wedding.  They had it rustic camping style, with some 1950's flair!  The ceremony and everything was held at a back-country camping location, next to the Chilliwack River.

The drive in was through scenic farm lands, and finally a gravel road, and through the last stretch they had posted signs about themselves as teasers and to help keep people on the correct path to arriving.  It was very cute.  And Tammy even surprised Nick by arranging with the officiant to use their pet nicknames for each other in their vows, which had everyone in a laughing fit.

Surrounded by family and friends, they committed their lives to one another amongst the tall trees and the running water.  It was unique and fresh and I wish them all the very best for many, many years!
